Pro-life advocate and White Rose Resistance CEO Seth Gruber argues that legalized abortion prepared America to treat children as property, reducing unborn babies to “pounds of flesh” or “blobs of tissue” whose humanity depends upon where they live.

Now, he says, surrogacy and reproductive technology have carried that same dehumanizing logic even further, creating an industry in which babies can effectively be purchased and women’s bodies can be rented to produce them.

Seth Gruber, CEO of White Rose Resistance, argues that commercial surrogacy turns pregnancy into a transaction and children into products, with economically vulnerable women, particularly women of color, often carrying the greatest burden.

He says the surrogate is paid not only to carry and deliver the child, but ultimately to leave the child’s life. Seth Gruber, CEO of White Rose Resistance, challenges the conventional characterization of Adolf Hitler as “far right,” arguing that National Socialism and the ideological history surrounding Nazi Germany have been misrepresented.

Gruber and Lara Logan then turn to the Frankfurt School, Marxism and the idea of the “long march through the institutions.” Gruber argues that Marxist thinkers concluded political revolution had failed because Western culture, nationalism and capitalism stood in the way — leading them to focus instead on transforming culture and institutions.

Gruber’s characterization of Hitler as a leftist is disputed by mainstream historical scholarship. The U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum identifies the Nazi Party as a radical far-right movement and notes that it was explicitly anti-Marxist and anti-communist.
